Hi everyone, as I have been feeling so much better I went out shopping with my younger daughter Georgia yesterday to Westfield, it was such a lovely change to be able to do it. Treated her to some clothes, and had coffee etc. bit tiring but lovely. Today I decided to go to our local (bus ride) shopping centre to get supermarket stuff, only a few things. All ok, Georgia came with me again. On way out of the centre there was a bus coming (the only one that goes where we live) so being clever I decided I could run for it!!!! Georgia told me not to (more sense than me at 16) but I said "oh I am fine, let do it" felt a bit wobbly when we got in. Now I am paying for it!!! Feet are killing me, hips and knees all painful, I know it was silly, but I blame the prednisolone for giving me false sense of security!!! Only have hospital appt for haemotology tomorrow, so will rest after that, and learn my lesson!! BARBARA

Guess we've all been there and done just that. I'm right with you on the false sense of security, prednisolone is wonderful and where would we be without it? But it does have a lot to answer for at times. Bet the running gave you a bit of a thrill at the time though but sorry to hear you are paying for it now. Take it easy, Lyn x

Hi Barbara
Good to hear you enjoyed your shopping trip to Westfield. And as for the running- I've done the same myself with trains. I never seem to learn! I try to go up to London shopping whenever I can and although I often pay for it afterwards, I find it cheers me up a lot.
Have a good rest Maria x

Thanks everyone, went to the haemophillia clinic this morning. Tests had mostly come back ok, but platelets were abnormal. The consultant said that its usually something you are born with, or that happens due to a new med being added recently before the test. I hadnt taken anything new in December, so not sure now what it means. I asked if its anything to do with the overlap syndrome and he doesnt think it is. He said there is a multi discipliniary meeting today and he wants to take my case to that, not sure what that means either!! I thought it was just a case of ok bloods done, all finished, you can go. Instead I hfad to have the bloods repeated, which was a pain as my veins are awful, and they took 3 attempts with 2 nurses working on me to get the blood!! They will write with the results. So something else to wait for. BARBARA

Oh Barbara - the fun just goes on and on doesn't it . I always try not to worry about blood test results but no matter what, I always do! Really hope you are recovering from your mad exertions at the weekend and the pain and stiffness has started to wear off. Take care Love Jeanxxxx

Crikey Barbara - it's so frustrating when they only give you half the story isn't it. I hope you feel better tomorrow and they don't take too long to write to you.

We all wish we didn't need them but it is what keeps us capable. Take care Roger

Hi Roger
Welcome to the forum. It's great to have another rugby nut on board. League or Union?
Take care
